Let’s get started

Simply measure the size of your opening (also known as an aperture) and add 300mm (150mm either side). This will give you enough space to fit your balcony without risking chipping your brickwork when drilling into it. 

Please note: If ordering a Windrush or Franklyn Balcony add 400mm (200mm either side) to accommodate the larger bracket size. For openings larger than 3m we also recommend adding 400mm (200mm either side).

5 Top Tips for measuring:

1.  Measure twice, order once. It’s best to be confident about the size you are ordering so double-check your measurement or have someone else verify it. If you order the incorrect size this can cause long delays and incur unnecessary costs.

2. Use a metal tape measure, other materials can stretch and give you an inaccurate reading.
   
   
3. Measure at 2 different locations [at the base and roughly mid height]. If you get two different measurements, don’t panic! As long as they aren’t hugely different use the larger of the two measurements as your aperture size, if you’re unsure, give us ring
   
   
4. Check for any pipes, cills or obstacles that stick out more than 60mm, as this could prevent your balcony from fitting. If you see one, don’t worry, we can usually find a solution to make sure you still get your balcony!
